BFF

“BFF” by Hoodna Orchestra imparts a feeling of nostalgia tipping its hat to the Southern Tel Aviv music scene in the early 00s. That period of time was brimming with late-night jam sessions, fun hangouts, and long summer nights with friends. The group connected with Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds during his visit to Tel Aviv in fall 2021 while he was in the region for a string of performance engagements including the Tel Aviv Groove Festival. Both Roberts and Hoodna Orchestra come from a long lineage of vintage tones and soul-funk influences and have a very similar approach to music. Roberts joined the group in the studio and is featured on guitar throughout “BFF” seamlessly transferring the energy they shared on stage into the studio. Color Red’s collaboration with Hoodna Orchestra kicks off the platform’s outpost in the Middle East releasing music worldwide by some of the most sought-after acts in the region.
