Tim Carman Trio's version of the ballad “Not A Tear” was inspired by Wynton Kelly Trio’s take on the tune from their 1964 LP “It’s Alright.” Its a beautiful tune that’s rarely covered and contains a really unique transition from a slow ballad into a 6/8 bembe feel. Carman cites that it is "fun as hell to play" and notes that his trio had a great time working it out in the studio.
