Object Heavy’s “Alone” is a 70s-inspired, modern funk anthem that rallies to encourage people to stick together despite the many hurdles that keep us apart in the modern world. The verse speaks to a classic guy-meets-girl storyline while the hook and bridge expand into universal themes of love, unity, and togetherness. Although the track was recorded in 2019, the message resonates particularly well after the isolation and obstacles society faced during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
