Before Your Time

>Leon “Kid Chocolate” Brown delivers an uplifting message soaked with New Orleans-style soul in “Before Your Time.” After observing the state of humanity during the global lockdown from COVID-19, Brown sought to offer a silver lining shifting the perspective to revel in free time. He observed that this was a time to take leaps towards your life’s dreams as you may never have the opportunity to do so again. Collaborating with Chris Spies (keyboards), Jon Goss (tuba), and Jermal Watson (drums), Brown let the rhythm track loop while scribing down all words that came to mind when thinking about coronavirus and quarantine. The end result of this remote collaboration was finally mixed by Eddie Roberts and is a rallying cry to navigate through trials and tribulations life hands you that will help you find your way out on top.
