These days, if a song isn't ultra produced with layer upon layer of synthesized sounds and over use of auto-tune, we may question whether it's "modern" enough to fit in with the"now" vibes of what's "in". Luckily for us (and subsequently you, dear listener) we aren't all that impressed with the trendy tricks of the trade which vary from week to week. What we ARE impressed by is good, old fashioned talent. And that's the theme we hear in Sundae + Mr. Goessl's version of "Slow Boat To China". It's almost like they are in the room with you singing and playing this funny tune (really, the lyrics are quite humorous) with no overdubs, no auto tune, no filler or fluff. Simply pure, honest music expertly executed by Goessl on nylon string guitar and Voss with a straight forward 2 & 4 bass line with the vocals "melting your heart of stone".
