Treat You Right

Jeff White got the vision to recreate the Peter Tosh classic “Treat You Right” while surfing in Costa Rica. He called upon friends and collaborators Todd Smallie (JJ Grey & Mofro), Casey Russell (Magic Beans) and Joey Lanna to work with Eddie Roberts to produce two versions of the iconic track, one in its original reggae format and the getting a sweet Motown-soul treatment. Collaborating with Roberts allowed White and his cohorts to capture both versions in an analog recording format on Color Red Studio’s Tascam 388. In addition to the digital 45 presenting the song in both styles, White will be working with Roberts to produce his next album.
