“Watchu Wanna Do” by The Magic Beans is a time capsule of soul music through the eras, specifically the 70s, 90s, and present times. Vocalist/keyboardist Casey Russell stepped up to the plate to compose a simple song using the same chords on the verse and chorus in hopes of it resonating with folks from all stations of life. The lyrics court a love interest and speak to a yearning for realness and authenticity. Collaborating with Eddie Roberts allowed for authentic funk production techniques to really shine and the track is a welcome addition to Color Red's curated catalog of music.
