The Lucky Strokes kick off the New Year with an uplifting message from the latest single, "Funny Little Game". Vocalist Shelby Kemp yet again crafts a beautiful set of lyrics and melodies, stemming from a back-porch evening with Galbraith sisters at their home in Florida. Originally inspired by the cheerfully innocent nature of the Galbraith sisters' dog, "Funny Little Game" took shape to create a dense, guitar-driven sound intermixed with the undeniable flair of an Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds) funk groove. The single highlights a new sonic direction The Lucky Strokes are beginning to take as they enter 2025 and prepare for another full-album release full of blues, rock, and Southern soul.
