Hit The Ground Running (feat. Lyle Divinsky)

Casey Russell brings his debut single, "Hit The Ground Running", off his forthcoming solo album from Color Red and features supporting vocals from the incomparable Lyle Divnisky. The single comes from a collection of works that Casey has penned as "an homage to old-school Soul and R&B music". With sounds echoing the '60s and '70s and a modern flair reminiscent of major acts such as Lawrence and Cory Henry, the Denver-based keyboardist and vocalist is stepping into his own with "Hit The Ground Running". While Casey stays busy on the road with The Magic Beans and leading legendary collaborative events such as the ‘Purple Party: A Tribute To Prince’ at this year's New Orleans Jazz Fest, listeners can look forward to more funk-fueled Soul and R&B tracks from the musical powerhouse Casey assembled and co-produced with Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds.
