Rhumba for Peregrine

Mike Dillon & the Malletmen bathe listeners in a soothing tonic of New Orleans mambo mixed with exotica in “Rhumba for Peregrine.” Inspired by moments in time where Dillon would practice in contemporary artist, Peregrine Honig’s art studio, Dillon would play vibes while Honig would paint. This is the second track release from a session the group did in 2019 while Dillon was on tour with Tiff Lamson, G Maxwell Zemanovic, and Nathan Lambertson. Frequent Color Red collaborator, Jeff Franca, sweetens the tune with his conga work.
