The Night

Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal draw inspiration from Bay Area Psychedelic soul and Stax-era funk in “The Night.” Using punchy horn lines and pulsating rhythm guitar, the song is a steady build as Hoyer challenges listeners in “letting the evening become the night.” The lyrics reference taking the time to let all of life’s challenges and frustrations dissipate while the night takes you for a ride. This is the lead single off an upcoming full-length record to be released on Color Red in 2020.
