“Corpus Callosum” by Polyrhythmics is an aural reflection of the nerve fiber bundle that connects the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Trumpeter Scott Morning wanted to capture the concept of extreme mood swings and illustrate two disparate emotional sensations. The A section is funky, angular, and energetic while the B section is sensual, groovy, and mildly psychedelic. The track is off of the band’s record ‘Man from the Future’ released on Color Red in May 2020.
