Steve Bird AKA Mr Bird is originally from Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, but in 2009 decided to follow his heart, spread his wings and jumped ship and moved to sunny Lisbon in Portugal, still looking for that perfect beat. He has released material on UK labels Frequent Sounds, Hertz Recordings, BBE Music, and his own Fat Bird Sounds. Steve now joins the Color Red Remixes family with a NuFunk rework of Freekbass’ “Runaway”, keeping that 80’s Funkadelic feel of the original but with a heavier break that infuses even more groovyness into the track.
