Tetrao Urogallus’ “Euphorbia Helioscopia” is a psychedelic doom funk saunter soaked in fuzzy guitars and parading horn lines. Named after the sun splurge (“Madwoman’s Milk”), the track refers to the highly poisonous plant which keeps its head towards the sun soaking up evil and is said to cure liver cancer. The dark guitar vamps and tom drums usher in commanding horn lines that are unyielding and beckon unrelenting energy that point directly towards the track’s namesake. The Hamburg, Germany-based group’s debut album bridges the gap between fans of heavy metal as well of a new school of psychedelic instrumental music that falls into the same category as Budos Band and Menahan Street Band. “Euphorbia Helioscopia” is the third single by the brand new project that will be part of a full-length album released on Color Red in 2021.
